Chemical Solutions Ltd were proud to support the annual VJ Distributors Golf Day in Hawkes Bay recently. We have been associated with this event for around 8 years now, along with many other VJ Distributor suppliers supporting what has become a great charity fundraiser. Having been one of the initial supporters of the event it’s great to see its continued growth and that it is still going strong. The day was a huge success raising $10,000.00 which will be donated to the Hawkes Bay Breast Cancer Trust. The trust is very close to director Craig Bridgman’s heart, as his wife Vicki was diagnosed with breast cancer around one and a half years ago. Vicki has since made a full recovery, so Craig got to see first hand the amount of support the trust offers. Chemical Solutions Ltd, along with other suppliers to VJ Distributors feel privileged to be able to support such a worthy cause.
Craig once again did a fantastic job of coordinating 116 golfers on the day, which consisted of customers and suppliers alike, the weather turned it on with a beautiful sunny Hawkes Bay day. For those that didn’t effectively slip, slop, slap, I’m sure there was a touch of sunburn the next day.
Golfers enjoyed a glass of bubbles of some of New Zealand’s finest marinated mussels on the 14th hole, which Chemical Solutions sponsored. There was a variety of golf on display throughout the course of the day. The most interesting tee shot award on the 14th hole went to Allan Smith from Scottsdale who had the honour of receiving the traditional axe as his prize and the best group tee shot was awarded to the team from Otatara Residential Care which comprised of team members Steve, Teresa and Mandy Loughlan and Michael Grant, who each received a gift pack of Clean Brands products manufactured by Chemical Solutions Ltd.
We look forward to supporting the VJ Distributors golf day again in another 12 months’ time, which offers continued support to Hawkes Bay Cancer Trust for what has become one of the most anticipated events of the year for VJ Distributors customers and suppliers.
