Meet the Team: Siobhan, our new Hamilton based Account Manager
Whether it’s helping clients learn to safely handle their chemicals, closing prospects, or installing equipment, Siobhan is always up to the task.
What do you do at Chemical Solutions and why would your customers call you?
I am an Account Manager, I am here to help my customers with all their enquiries, whether it’s a new installation, repairing equipment or training staff to grow their chemical knowledge.
What is a typical day like?
As an Account Manager I am responsible for ensuring that my clients know how to safely use, store, and understand the chemicals that they’re using. In my role no two days are the same. I work remotely from home so typically I start my day with a cup of coffee and look at my diary on what needs doing – this can be prospecting for new clients, either solo, or helping a distributor close a prospect. I am also responsible for installation of equipment. I am frequently servicing equipment to ensure that they’re still effectively working and up to standard.
At the end of my typical day, I help bring solutions to my customers’ enquiries, and help problem solve anything related to chemicals on site.
What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Chemical Solutions?
Their care for the environment; as a chemical manufacturer this is very difficult sometimes but here at Chemical Solutions this is highly considered and, as someone who cares very much for the environment, it’s great to work for a company who stands for it too.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I have recently bought my first home, so I see a lot of playing in the garden happening for me, but I also love indoor plants so I tend to those and the local shops and markets that Hamilton has to offer. My favourite season is summer because you can go out exploring & go to local beaches. I recently got back into being a mentor for a young child, so once a week we get to hang out. It’s quite fun because I get to be a kid again for an hour or two, especially when we get to find a cool park.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I have a background trade of being a Chef & Baker, so cooking & baking is still very much an extension of me.
