What do you do at Chemical Solutions?
I am a Junior Graphic Designer for the marketing team.
What led you to this career step?
I really wanted to be in the creative field as I’ve always been the artistic type.
After completing a design & arts foundation course, I realized that I wanted to study graphic design as it’s quite flexible and versatile. It’s great to be able to incorporate illustration, photography, and other creative outlets. I finished graphic design school in 2016 and have been designing since then.
What is a typical day like?
Designing and updating labels, product information sheets and product images. Updating websites and designing marketing assets such as business cards, pull-up banners etc. Creating wallcharts and faceplates for the sales team.
What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Chemical Solutions?
The culture and positive work environment. The staff are professional, helpful, work well together with good attitudes and personalities.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Spending time with family and good friends. Working on my physical, mental, and spiritual health. Trying to learn other creative artforms such as singing etc.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I’ve been dancing for 20 years, Breaking aka Breakdancing to be specific. I used to be competitive and have represented New Zealand in the international stage. I’m just more on the teaching and mentoring side of things now.
