- 1. What led you to this next step in your career?
- After being in the Chemical and Cleaning & Hygiene industry for 20 years I have always wanted to provide solutions to customers. This role allows me to be front facing with the customer and provide them with the confidence that we are supplying not only a fit for purpose solution but also that we provide the ongoing support and service that they deserve. Being on the road is something I have been working towards as I enjoy being in accounts and seeing how things are working and how we can make changes that benefit the end user.
- 2. What’s one thing that’s surprised you since joining Chemical Solutions?
- The passion everyone has to work together to meet the end goal and ensuring the customer has the best experience from their supplier. Chemical Solutions makes you feel part of a family rather than a number at a desk.
- 3. Coffee, tea, or something else entirely?
- Coffee all the way (instant only sorry folks) oh and Glaceau Vitamin Water.
- 4. What’s a small thing that always makes your day better?
- Hearing my childrens voices, even when they just grunt.
- 5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
- Watching football, both my boys play football so that’s my Saturdays. Love spending time with family and our dog Boston. I collect Lego, do puzzles, craft with my daughter, game nights with the kids, movies – I am a movie buff.
- 6. Do you have a hidden talent or a fun party trick
- I can flare my nostrils and can walk on my knees with my legs crossed.
- 7. What’s a favourite quote you live by—or the best advice you’ve ever received?
- Carpe Diem.
- 8. What’s a place that’s shaped who you are—whether it’s where you grew up, travelled to, or lived for a while?
- No 1 place has shaped me, I am originally from the UK and have lived in NZ since I was 9 years old so I would say that what shaped me was more my parents, my upbringing and then my lessons learned through life not a place.
- 9. What’s one tradition or dish from your culture that you think everyone should experience at least once?
- Toad in the Hole.
- 10. What’s your favourite song, band, or musician?
- Oh I love all music except death metal and rap (although I love Eminem).
- 11. What’s a book, movie, or show you’d recommend—and why?
- The Avengers, anyone can be a superhero 😊
- 12. If your calendar had one recurring, non-negotiable slot for something fun each week, what would it be?
- My childrens school activities/hobbies.
