Andrew, our new South Island Territory Manager, has hit the ground running and is bringing with him well over a decade of experience in the industry.
Please tell us a bit more about yourself and the Territory Manager role you just took over at Chemical Solutions.
I filled this roll due to a previous Territory Manager, Rod Frewen, retiring. My focus in this role will be to support existing customers in a consultative way and help them with their sanitation needs. Surrounding the customer and merchandising value is key to retaining and growing a customer to establish a long-term business relationship.
A daily reminder is that without the customer we would not have a job and that the customer often has a choice of who they do business with therefore we need to get things right first time.
What are some of the goals you hope to achieve in your new role.
Grow the existing business and increase the number of solutions within an account. Be known to my customers that Chemical Solutions provides a “First Class Experience” and that they trust me with all their chemical requirements.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to sing and whistle when others are prepared to listen. Also I run in the forest as I’m not much of a golfer.
I enjoy gardening and serving up meals from the produce that I harvest all year round.
I have much joy in supporting my family with their interests such as weekend football.
Do you have any hidden talents you can tell us about?
I enjoy restoring old things and often bring things home to repair which my wife thinks is junk. My friends used to call me “MacGyver” as I would always be solving problems with foreign parts and carrying a Swiss Army Knife to open a cold beverage.
